Trope
Trope is a distinct musical language that requires considerable expertise to master. Utilising a colour-coded system, the latest on-line technology and a trained ear, Rabbi Gary demonstrates the patience necessary to bring every student across the line, preparing the student to "lein" both on the big day and on subsequent Shabbatot at the synagogue.
Torah
Preparing a d'var Torah to be delivered in the synagogue or before family and friends at the celebration is a difficult challenge. Rabbi Gary will guide his students through an easy, step by step process. Students will become acquainted with traditional commentaries, explore contemporary insights and be encouraged to evaluate the relevance of both. The student's personal understanding will uplift the heart and inspire the mind.
Prayers
Helping his students to read accurately, become familiar with the prayers and to understand their meaning, is a primary goal. Students will acquire a rich vocabulary and employ correct nusach in order to become fluent daveners. At completion, students will have gained respect for the Siddur's central themes and ideas.

Testimonials
Rabbi Gary was a wonderful teacher and mentor for our son Michael's Bar Mitzvah. Rabbi Gary not only made sure that Michael was thoroughly prepared for his Bar Mitzvah, but also that the whole experience was meaningful and a real growth opportunity. We would recommend Rabbi Gary to all. (Daniel) "Rabbi Gary has been instrumental in not only teaching our children Torah, but making the experience a joyous and fun activity. His ability to relate to young people, his knowledge of the materials and his experience teaching, all make him the kind of tutor parents search for. "(Kolya) |

"My aim was to learn to read Hebrew—I accomplished what I set out to do and much more…..history, understanding, tolerance, and a broader perspective. Our communication for lessons was by telephone, as I live in the country. Although we could have missed the even “ebb and flow” that comes with tutoring face to face—amazingly, we didn’t! Rabbi Robuck was able to engage with me in a way that was truly challenging (believe me) and I spent many hours of satisfying research between lessons. He kept me intensely interested and constantly challenged. Each lesson was always over too quickly. " (Jen)

"Rabbi Gary is an enthusiastic and motivational teacher. His deep knowledge of Torah and Jewish learning, combined with his prodigious musical skills, enabled both my son and I to learn our parshas and blessings so that we felt totally prepared on the Big Day. He has a natural affinity with young people and makes them feel valued for who they are irrespective of ability. He is patient and kind and genuinely caring which leaves a deep impression on those fortunate enough to be his students. I can’t recommend him highly enough.” (Michelle S.) |
